“Our mission is to help international students.”
On behalf of NCUK, I would like to welcome all potential students and their parents to our collaborative partnership in Korea with IEN Institute. By choosing to study at IEN, you are marking the beginning of a successful journey with one of our highly valued study centres. Having won numerous awards for excellence in teaching and student services, IEN has earned a reputation for quality in education.
NCUK is a consortium of leading universities dedicated to giving international students guaranteed access to universities worldwide and helping them succeed when they get there. NCUK works because it is a partnership between NCUK, our universities and our study centres. A partnership that produces results based on co-operation, a desire to give our students the best learning experience and a commitment to providing a world of choice on successful completion of our degree pathway qualifications.
Since 1987, we have been working with a network of study centres across the world, including IEN in Korea who have successfully delivered NCUK qualifications for the last sixteen years. In those 16 years, IEN has maintained the highest progression rate of any NCUK study centre, and together we have helped students successfully progress to our leading universities in the UK and worldwide. Since our collaboration began, many students from Korea have successfully completed NCUK qualifications at IEN and gone on to higher level study in the UK and other countries on a range of undergraduate and postgraduate degree programmes including Economics, Management, Finance, Engineering, Education, Film, Media, Design, Architecture, Biomedical, Pharmacy, Law, A.I., Computer Science, Data Science and many, many more. We hope that with your passion for learning and desire to succeed you will excel just like these students, joining them next year on the path to your degree and your future career.
NCUK and IEN help students learn the skills that universities look for in well-prepared students. University students in the UK, Australia, New Zealand, Canada and the US are expected to be independent learners and know how to use current research to answer tough academic questions. These students are also encouraged to form independent views and are taught how to defend their viewpoints in public discussions. NCUK qualifications provide an environment where Korean students can develop this approach, and with the help of experienced academics, flourish in a Western academic environment.
NCUK is proud to have successful students, not just in Korea, but across the world. Our mission is to help international students, just like you, get a place at their dream university and ensure that they are fully prepared for the time that they spend abroad.
By studying an NCUK qualification, you are joining a huge network of alumni – over 50,000 students have progressed to university through NCUK. 80% of our students go on to graduate with a first or second-class degree – an incredible achievement which helps to highlight the fact that these students are extremely well prepared for their education overseas and, of course, for their future careers.
Thank you for choosing NCUK. I wish you all the best for your future.
Stuart Smith, NCUK Chief Executive Officer
